Bagatelle for Oboe & Piano (1968)

This little piece, composed while I was a student at the Elder Conservatorium in the University of Adelaide, represents a temporary departure – and welcome relief – from the complex serial music I was writing at the time. I composed it especially for Ruth Blatt, a friend and fellow student, to perform in her end of year exam recital. Almost forty five years later Ruth’s sister Miriam sent me a typeset copy of the manuscript and I made the decision to publish it.
